Breast Cancer is no stranger to me. This is a cause
near and dear to my heart. I lost my Mother to advanced
Stage IV Breast Cancer when I was only seven years old. Sadly
enough I don't remember too many good things about my Mom,
I tend to just remember all the bad things --- her pain ---
suffering --- my Dad giving her shots of morphine so she could just
make it through the day somewhat comfortable. I watched with my family for over
three years after my Mother was first diagnosed suffer until
she found peace and departed this unbearable pain.
Thus this is an issue very clear to my older sister and myself to do
regular monthly examinations and get a mammogram every year.
I have never had cancer but I have several close friends and
also some online friends who are battling this war in hopes a
cure will be found. We, as women, can not let our guard
down....we must strive to see that the research is carried on
from one generation to the next until a cure is discovered.
I would like to ask you if you or a loved one or just a good
friend suffer from any stage of breast cancer please join in our
effort to battle this disease. We have a online
support group that exchanges views, medical news, and just
general support for one another. Also we have a webring
you may join provided you meet the requirement of the
ring. (see my ring below to join)
If you are interested in joining our group you may send an
email to:
BreastCancer-StageIV-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
Thanks for visiting
and I hope you will consider joining us in our war against one
of the highest killers of women today....by the way....men get
breast cancer also and they are welcome to join our group.
Thank you Southern Women for
this recognition and help spreading awareness.
